To test how successful the British High Street is at answering the one-size-fits-all conundrum we asked six women — a size 6, size 8, size 10, size 12, size 14 and size 16 — to road test three items.

These six women have the perfect waist-to-hip ratio of 0.7 which is known as the hourglass figure, where the body gently curves in at the waist and out again over voluptuous hips.

Some have curvy bottoms, others have large breasts, while another is blessed with long, slender legs — yet astonishingly, all of these ladies are 11st, the average weight of a woman in the UK.

With seemingly ‘perfect’ social media posts hammering on your self-worth each and every day, it’s easy to get lost in the noise and believe that you might not look as good as you do.
