Kenny Sing on Instagram: "Here’s how I create rubber mother molds for ceramic slip casting plaster mold parts. In this case I’m using a 3d printed master mold, but the master mold can be made out of anything, commonly plaster. This rubber mold can then be used over and over again to produce the many plaster mold parts I’ll need for slip casting production. This process pulls from the generously documented and shared mold making methods of @hammerlyceramics and @vantiki. #moldmaking #siliconemolds #silicone #handmade #howto #process #ceramics #slipcast #slipcasting #clay #pottery #3dprinting #resinprinting #art #design" Slipcast Ceramics, Slip Casting Ceramics, Casting Plaster, Silicone Mold Making, Silicone Rubber Mold, Slip Casting, Clay Moulding, Plaster Cast, Ceramic Molds

I’ve just finished throwing some pieces for a custom order and the osteoarthritis in my hands is really bad right now, I can’t bend my knuckles well enough to continue throwing for the moment, so I figured it was time to take these molds out for a spin! (I will continue hand building though)
I already shared how I carved one of them, but I’m so excited to show you what I did with others!
I’ll share that tomorrow :)
