On Solidus (art by Matt Laurin): Solidus Snake could be considered the true protagonist of MGS2. From the outset, Solidus planned to circumvent and overthrow the Patriots. He had intended for the Big Shell take over to surprise the Patriots and to use the President's current affiliation with the shadowy organization to finally learn their identities. Since Raiden is discovered to have been actually sent by the Patriots, it effectively reverses the roles of the two characters.
