the princess madeleine's 18th birthday tiara is shown in black and white photos

5th June and today's tiara is the tiara Princess Madeleine received for her 18th birthday. This was not a new piece. It is thought to have belonged to Queen Louise of Sweden. I have read it was a wedding present from her sister and brother in law, Prince and Princess Andrew of Greece. Sadly there are no photos of Queen Louise wearing it, but there is a photo of Princess Desiree wearing it in the 1960s. Princess Madeleine last wore it in 2014, but it has since been borrowed by Princess…

the queen of england wearing an aquamarine tiara

5th March and today's tiara is an aquamarine one that was worn by the Duchess of Kent during the 1990s. It is no longer with the Kent Family. It was designed by Georges Fouquet in the 1920s with the aquamarine elements set in a delicate enamel setting. The enamel setting disintegrated with time, but the large aquamarine buttons were mounted on a frame. These elements can also be worn as brooches.
