Dr Seuss Fish - Used solid colored ribbon, hot glue, googly eyes and a hair clip. Takes some patience to get the pieces cut and folded just right.

Quick Homemade dr. Suess costume! Shirt: I googled "thing 2" large image files (he preferred Thing2), printed it on regular paper, cut it out & stapled to red shirt (keep the staples on the black edges & color them after stapling with black perm. marker to blend in). Hair: blue butcher paper (construction paper could work), blew up & traced image from computer screen, cut out & taped to band from HeadBandz game. Note: we later cut the bottom of hair to ear level because it was bothering him.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 made sooooo easy! Make the name circles out of poster board and pin on a red shirt. For the "Thing" hair, cut a feather boa in half and wrap it around a knit hat, pinning with safety pins as you go. These were a huge hit at their Dr. Seuss b-day bash!

DIY Thing 1 or Thing 2 headpiece -plastic headband -red ribbon to line headband(or just find a red plastic headband) -Turquoise marabou puff (found at craft store) -Hot Glue HOW TO: Lined the plastic headband with red grosgrain ribbon. Occasionally put small dabs of hot glue to seal the ribbon on the headband. Cut the marabou puff to fit the headband and hot glued it on. Made this for my daughter who was Thing 1 in her school play.
