By pinching the top thread as you sew, this causes the fabric to gather up behind the sewing machine foot to make for perfect gatehring everytime. 

🦋 Thread up you machine as normal
Pull both top thread and bobbin thread to the back, make sure to leave a long tail. This will come in handy latter when you are attaching the gathering to your sewing project and you want to increase or decrease the gathers.

🦋 Increase the stitch length to the highest number, mine goes up to 4.
Place your fabric underneath your sewing machine foot and start sewing.

🦋 Do not backstitch.

🦋 As you sew, pinch the top thread as it comes off the spool, this causes tentsion in the thread, allowing it to bunch up behind the Gathering Sewing, Sewing Instagram, Sewing Machine Stitches, Start Sewing, Thread Up, Sewing Machine Feet, Fabric Sewing Patterns, Sewing Instructions, Sew Easy

By threading the tail back up the overlocking chain, it secures it, similar to a backstitch on a sewing machine.  Have you triced this sewing hack before?
