Was playing Breath of the wild and wanted to make my own village inspired by it. Also wanted to see if i could make the village work with only the resources they get from the tree. Maybe because there are monsters on the ground. Or the tree could just be so tall that they never climb all the way down. Only thing they were missing was something to make tools from. So i added giant snails that climb up the tree, so they could use there shells.
