Back from DC. Visiting DC on 9/11 was emotional yet reaffirming that this IS a great nation. The National Mall was a reminder of the losses we as a country have endured to protect our freedoms. The major difference being those who lost their lives on 9/11 did not wear a uniform. Certainly those who have been on the battlefields in Afghanistan and Iraq have, and deserve their place in the National Mall.

In honor of my favorite combat veteran, my father-in-law 𝙀𝙙 𝙂𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙡. Dad served in the Vietnam War and passed away in 2015 as a result of Agent Orange poisoning.
