My new build. The model is an old swedish racing bike from the seventies called Crescent 92319, Världsmästarcykeln. Built from Reynolds 531 tubing. I fitted it with a moustache-bar, larger tyres, fenders, porteur-rack and of course, a brass bell. This bike is going to serve as my everyday bike.

Bicycles are by far the most common form of transportation in Zanzibar. In my opinion they are ideal for the Stone Town and beaches. Vast majority of them are very old and heavily used. They are constantly repaired but never quite dead.

During the busy bike boom years Cycles Alex Singer had some frames made by C.N.C. This bike was assembled at Alex Singer on one of those outsourced Reynolds 531 frames (with prugnat 62D lugs) using some very nice components. Maxi-Car hubs and Super Champion 700c rims, Wolber 28mm tires, TA triple/ Huret drivetrain, Belleri bars and stem, Soubitez lighting, Mafac Racer brakes and unidentified racks.
