Romanian Lace - Can't read a word of it, but the charts are pretty clear and the result is fascinating

Encyclopedia of Needlework chapter on "Irish Lace".  The description in the book sounds almost identical to Romanian Point Lace: "It is composed of braid or tape, formed into figures, joined together by needlemade, corded or buttonhole bars and fillings of different kinds, or by bars alone."  Lots of diagrams of needle lace fillings.
