Cardboard Balance Beam - Makedo
Cardboard DIY flexible balance beam 💙 “The wonderful thing about these tools is that they are not only safe for children to use but can also transform cardboard boxes into simple or complex 2D and 3D shapes. They’re very beginner friendly and you don’t need any magic skills 😉 My boys loved the process of creating and working together and even Mr 2 wanted to be part of the fun. This easy project kept them super busy and I loved watching them cut, poke and connect the pieces. The Makedo scrus were essential in the construction part allowing the boys the turn the bits of cardboard in different directions creating lots of different shapes.” Thanks @ playroomstories on IG for sharing!

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure! Using recycled materials to create something useful and fun is so rewarding! We used paper rolls, cardboard, a cup, and string to make this winding bucket for sensory play. 🙌 YOU’LL NEED: • 2 paper rolls • 1 harder paper roll (like from aluminum foil) • 1 plastic cup • Yarn • Hot glue • Flat piece of cardboard INSTRUCTIONS: • Cut holes in the paper rolls the size of the harder roll to pass through. • Hot glue the base onto the flat piece of cardboard. • Cut the plastic cup in half to make a smaller cup. Cut out the rim of the cup and hot glue it to the cup cut out to make a handle. This makes the bucket. • Tie a piece of yarn on the handle of the bucket. • Hot glue the tip of the piece of yarn to the middle of the harder pa

Cardboard Crane Toy - Makedo
"If you’re like me and are always saving up cardboard rolls, then this one is for you! My boys love everything construction and asked if we could create a cardboard crane with our Makedo tools. This took a bit of trial and error but in the end, we came up with a functional design that was easy to use. With Earth Day occurring this week, the boys and I have been speaking about how we can care for the Earth, and I love how Makedo is such a sustainable option for play. We were able to create this crane without the need for single-use products like sticky tape, and when we are ready, we can easily remove the scrus to deconstruct it, and reuse them for our next creation."
