Istanbul - the column called Çemberlitaş, formerly the Column of Constantine, which stood in the middle of the Forum of Constantine. It was originally crowned with a statue of Constantine, but this fell down in 1106 and was replaced by a cross during the reign of Emperor Manuel Komnenos.
