AN IZNIK POLYCHROME POTTERY DISH, TURKEY, CIRCA 1575-80 of shallow round form, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, green and relief red, the abstract design composed of a central flowerhead emanating petal motifs filled with an alternating blue and green fish-scale pattern, the rim with a stylised petal outline, the underside with stylised vegetal motifs
