Peer Magazine by Paul Fox - bold typography, relying on a main block colour per layout and strong images. Statement pages which are relaticely simple.

Still my favorite Fricote cover ever! http://www.fricote.fr/magazine/
WWF advertising campaign where they released a series of images of endangered animals fading away into dust. This is a really nice graphical piece using a nice visual tool/metaphor. But it doesn't strike hard enough, it doesn't make me think any deeper about the message they are trying to communicate. It is to soft and to focused on looking nice to strike a human emotion to act.
Steidl is the magazine this was the back cover to. I really like how the text was written over the picture of the man, yet you can still see his picture. I found this online. #Inspirational

(#4) First page spread for the Feature story. I like how the clean line cuts across the cut of coffee and and how the details in the font are brought out.
I like how the story takes the shape of letters, and those form another message. I could incorporate this into my magazine by kind of combining a feature story in the small text, but an ASF with the larger letter outlines.
