“T” OR “ARROW” IN YOUR PUSH-UP? “T” is classified as flaring your elbows essentially creating the letter “T”. An “Arrow” is classified as slightly tucking your elbows creating an arrow shape with your body. Doing push-ups in a “T”. Increases chance of shoulder impingement leading to shoulder pain. Decreases the efficiency of power creating a greater leverage. Doing push-ups in an “Arrow”. Lessens the risk of shoulder pain. Creates a more efficient, powerful, push-up using good leverage.

Technik Check: Richtige Stangenposition beim Kreuzheben! Auf dem linken Bild sieht man einen klassischen Fehler, die Stange ist zu weit vom Mittelfuß weg, da die Knie zu weit vorne sind und der Hintern zu tief ist. Dadurch hat man kein stabiles Gleichgewicht und das Gewicht würde sich nach vorne verlagern. Auf dem rechten Bild ist der Hintern höher und weiter hinten, dadurch sind die Schienbeine gerade und die Stange ist über dem Mittelfuß. Jetzt hat man die optimale Startposition erreicht.

UPRIGHT ROWS: excellent builder for delts, but only when executed in a very specific way - doing these properly is grip width. mistake using a very narrow grip, thinking that the unnecessary strain on my wrist was worth the gainz I thought I was making - study focusing on muscle activation, specifically found that using a wide grip wad most effective for activation - TIP: focus less on pulling up, and more on pulling the shoulders out to the sides like you would with lateral raises!
