Arbor Day
Happy Arbor Day! First celebrated in the early 1870s in Nebraska City, Arbor Day is focused on the planting, upkeep, and preservation of trees. In honor of Arbor Day this year, I wanted to highlight some of the trees I've been seeing lately, like the beautiful Eastern Redbud in the first photo. I'll be planting a redbud for a project next month!

Spring Has Sprung
Little signs of spring are popping up at the lab! Everything looked especially wonderful this morning covered in raindrops and dew. The water droplets make everything look beautiful, whether its the daffodils just starting to sprout or the clover that's taken over one of my pots! There are even tiny leaves appearing on my bloomerang dark purple lilac, a sure sign that spring has arrived. #SpringTime #SpringHasArrived

Prospect Park
Took a stroll through Prospect Park this weekend. The longer nights & shorter days of this time of year invite me to slow down, plan, & imagine.
