2x4 Outdoor Sectional
Check out the full 31-day series of 2x4 projects We had family in town for a Memorial Day weekend full of food, walks, flower planting, and the occasional thunderstorm/tornado. It was a great weekend in spite of that last part. :) We also managed to knock out a little patio project while some very willing babysitters kept an eye on Baby B. I've had my eye on this outdoor collection (picture below) from West Elm, but it cost $149-279 per piece! That was never going to happen for us. So we…

Two very different Christmas projects
I'm a very novice woodworker so keep that in mind looking at these projects. This is the first year I was able to give hand made items for Christmas. No serious woodworking skills required for this one. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb140/Heathicus/Woodworking/Projects/Cowboy%20Cooler/IMG_6736640x480.jpg
Roger's Gardens Visit
I visited Roger's Gardens in Irvine with a friend today for the first time. Boy oh boy was it beautiful! The Christmas arrangements inside the front door were stunning. I loved the addition of lime green into this wreath. Cyclamen is a Christmas staple in Southern California gardening. Evidently this is a Southern California snowman. Did you know that Santa has felted boots? This poinsettia is absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately I do not remember it's name. These rain chains were one of my…
Small Cedar Shed
Build your own cedar shed to store lawn mowers, tools, trash cans, or just extra things. We love that it's like an outdoor closet. This cedar shed plan uses fence pickets - so it's much less expensive. The simple design can be built by most anyone. Step by step plans with diagrams and shopping and cut list from Ana-White.com
