Lupinus Chandelier. Lupins. Mulch every year. Prone to slug and snail damage. If a plant has mottling on the leaves, lift and destroy immediately to prevent disease spread. Need at least 6 hours of sunshine daily. Give the plants plenty of water through August. Aphids love lupins--the best choice is to try and attract ladybirds; otherwise, spray them with a light solution of water, vinegar and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. After the flowers have faded, cut off the blooms.
