To be clear, by “stop doing this” I just mean stop IF the goal is to maximize tension on the rear delts specifically. Raising your arms straight out to the sides (as in a traditional rear lateral raise) will still be effective, but it won’t allow you to fully shorten the rear delts and will be more upper back focused. ⁣ Instead you want to be pulling diagonally at roughly a 45 degree angle.⁣
