AN IZNIK POTTERY JUG OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1620 Of slender baluster form on short foot with flaring trumpet mouth & simple loop handle, decorated in cobalt-blue, bole-red, green & black beneath the clear glaze with five white ogival cusped cartouches containing ovoid panels of green fish-scale reserved against the blue ground, small heart-shaped white & red cartouches in the interstices, a band of black & white stylized marbling along the base, double white band with green fringe 8 1/8in.

AN IZNIK POTTERY TANKARD  OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1590  Of tapering cylindrical form with angular handle, the white body decorated in cobalt-blue, bole-red, turquoise and black outline with alternating large saz leaves and blue hyacinths curving to the left, the base and mouth with a narrow band of white and red half-rosettes on blue ground,   7¼in. (18.6cm.) diam.
