Are you looking for a meaningful Women's History Month activity that will not only let your students have fun and show their creativity, but also requires them to conduct research and think critically? Look no further than the Women's History Month Banners: Mini Research Project! This project contains over 30 pages of instructional materials that will help guide teachers and students through this activity.
In this creative research project, students imagine a new collection focused around one of the artifacts from the Smithsonian’s 101 Objects that Made America. Begin with a close reading to introduce the collection, then set them free to explore and research. Includes full Teacher’s Guide, Answer Sheet, and Peer and Self Feedback Forms. (grades 7-10)
My students have such a hard time with adding description to their writing. These Show Don't Tell charts help elementary students to write with more expression and to show action. Each anchor chart comes with a commonly overused word in writing and examples of how to show that word with detail. Great for revising, writing journals and notebooks, wall posters and more! #showdonttell #writingstrategy #writersworkshop #anchorcharts #descriptivewriting #narrativewriting
This is a fables graphic organizer for helping students determine all the parts of a fable. We start this as a whole class together. After doing 3-4 as a whole class they can begin to fill it out independently. This helps meet CCSS RL 2.2 where students have to determine the moral or central message of a fable.
