Caucasian kindjal, circa 1900, double edged double groove blade with long Arabic inscriptions, a riser on the tip; iron grip, completely koftgari-decorated in gold with floral motifs, the upper part with three openings, ivory-inlaid and decorated in gold; two flower-shaped rivets. Cloth covered sheath, iron with openings inlaid with ivory-plaques, decorated en suite; grooved pine-cone shaped chape.

Origin: Turkey  Dating: 18th Century    Description: Curved blade with two wires in damask, ribbed with carvings in the center and at the base, areas with rust damage; handle damask double "T" containing seven cartouches with inscriptions in Arabic and bronze inlay. Wooden scabbard covered with brocade and silver ferrule.    Dimensions: length 34 cm.
