Library at Shugborough Hall, England // General Sir George Anson, (1769 –1849), commanded a British cavalry brigade under the Duke of Wellington during the Peninsular War. He had a command of a brigade of light cavalry at the Battles of Talavera, Busaco, Salamanca and Vittoria. He named one of his sons “Talavara”.
