Bursa, Turkey, is a city the Marmara Region, and the 4th largest in Turkey. It was the 2nd capital of the Ottoman State between 1335 and 1413. Local landmarks include edifices built in the Ottoman period, thermal baths and several museums, including a museum of archaeology. Sometimes you never know what a city has to offer and that was the case with Bursa when I passed through during my world trip in 1995. I never got off the bus headed for Izmir, but I will next time, if I pass that way…
