The first phase of the campus, which is located on the ridges of Çekmeköy that is one of the new investment areas of Istanbul, on an area of 130,000 m2, was completed in 2011 and education on campus started. Campus Master Plan and concept design were undertaken by RMJM architecture firm. In the project, which received the "LEED Gold" certificate, lighting also emerged in the integrity of the principles of design and sustainability.
