Buster Keaton in color. (Joseph) Buster Keaton was a comic actor, filmmaker, producer and writer. At the age of three, Keaton began performing with his parents in The Three Keatons. He first appeared on stage in 1899 in a comedy sketch Wilmington, Delaware. From 1917 to 1920, he was involved with 18 major films, fourteen that starred Fatty Arbuckle. In 1920, he headlined, wrote and directed four films of his own.
