What a gorgeous room. The table and chair have been painted in a French linen, grey-mauve for a classic shabby chic look. And who can resist some lavender - not only for its colour but also for its intoxicating smell.
The dining room's French farm table is surrounded by Louis XIII-style chairs covered in Pindler & Pindler's Laredo faux suede. The landscape painting is by the wife's father, and the walls are painted Farrow & Ball's Hardwick White.
Beautiful entry, except that the light is too high. On the second story you have light at your foot level, and the first story has the light so high that it is not really part of the room. At least the light is BIG enough: usually lights are too tiny.
