Traditional embroidered apron from the Olti/Oltu region (North of Erzurum province). Part of an Armenian (well-to-do) festive costume, early 20th century. Metal thread embroidery on combed wool. The card woven belt attached to the apron bears the date ‘1903’ and some text in Armenian. (Inv.nr. önL078 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
