How to create a D.I.Y. Spooky Halloween Village

Supplies

How to create a Halloween Village
Purchase inexpensive Thrifted Cottages or Christmas houses, I was lucky and scored some really cool pieces second hand. Ranged from $1 - $5 for the larger pieces.
Spray Paint (I used black spray paint as a base paint to make them spooky) sprayed these outdoors.
Acrylic Paint (I had on hand, to create the halloween details on some of the houses)
Gold Rub and buff used on edges of homes (this really gave these pieces a custom look) also did this outside as the smell is very strong and use gloves while handling this product.
Old boxes - these I used to add height to the village to create visual interest
Black fabric - Used this to cover the boxes
Purple Mini lights - this added the perfect amount of ambiance to the set up to Give it that spooky feeling. I just interwove them throughout the village set up. Some of the houses had slots to inside the lights inside as well.
