    Vasilopita. Greece has a wonderful tradition of making a cake with a hidden coin and cutting it on New Year’s. The person who has the coin in their piece has good luck for the year. We love doing this tradition every new year!! “Vasilopita” commemorates a miracle performed by St. Basil.
