i remember, as a bus tour guide, the run-up to st.paul's. "wren's masterpiece", with a load of stories and descriptions and jokes and history, and this one american tourist lady said to me, after all that, "what's that big church?" Grrr. The same woman, while I was describing some other famous historic building on the left, tugged my shirt and pointed to the shop on the right, asking "what's snappy snaps?"
