Jul 26, 2024 - Description So, with the latest Orientation Video from the Mass Effect Andromeda Initiative, we finally get a closer view of the new Hero ship, called the Tempest. Early in the news about Andromeda we saw that this ship will be alot smaller than the Normandy SR-1 or SR-2. The Tempest is a small, scout ship used by the Pathfinders in the Andromeda Galaxy. This is a quick Wallpaper to show the sizes of the 3 Hero ships from the Mass Effect series. The Normandy SR-1, the Normandy SR-2 and the Tempest. Done in Paint Shop Pro 7 Mass Effect is (c) by Bioware & EA The Tempest Size is official given by Bioware with 95 meters. My own calculation with ingame screenshots of the landed Tempest however give me another result. More to 120 meters. Edit: The sizes are a bit mixed, because we had longtime no official sizes for the three ships. Problem was also the different ingame size with the later stated official sizes. We got this now: - Normandy SR1 - 155 meters ingame size, 125 meters stated size by Bioware designer - Normandy SR-2 - 216 meters ingame size, 170 meters stated size by Bioware designer - Tempest Scout - 120 meters ingame size, 95,2 meters stated size by Mass Effect Andromeda Artbook EDIT (29. January 2020): I have now completely revised and replaced the overview with the available canon data for all three ships. Because we had no official size information for the Normandy SR-1 and 2 for a long time, we had to rely on in-game estimates and calculations, which unfortunately were never particularly accurate. That changed with a Interview of Bioware designer Dusty Everman who gave a canon size to both Normandys and the Andromeda artbook which gave a exact size for the Tempest. I also do the math and add the Width and Height of the ships too. Like my Mass Effect Size Comparisons? Watch this:
