measuring EKG strips! of note: any QT interval (QTc) greater than 0.5 means your patient is at risk for arrhythmias so you need to watch what medications you’re giving! quick notes: - your EKG strip will have small boxes. each box is 0.04 secs - to find the heart rate quickly on a 6 second ekg strip count the R waves (tall peaks) - measure length between each R wave to see if the rhythm is regular (all the same amount apart) or irregular (all different)
