We are delighted to offer this stunning set of four Regency period circa 1810-1820 fully restored Chesterfield aged cigar brown leather dining chairs in walnut An absolutely sublime suite of four original very heavy dining chairs. They are as mentioned 1810-1820, hand carved from solid walnut and with thick English cattle hide leather upholstery. The frames are absolutely sublime, the timber is as solid as you could hope for, the back splat is a glorious piece of timber that has a rich warm grain. The side pillars have been hand carved in the form or Roman Corinthian pillars, they are honestly the most exquisite chairs. The leather hide is thick and with the original padding The suite has been fully restored to include having the leather lightly stripped back, it has then been hand dyed this glorious cigar brown color from top to bottom, all the woodwork has been sympathetically washed back and then fully French polished X4 standard chair dimensions: Height 89cm Width 51cm Depth 47cm Seat height 47cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
