Vintage Hobé Full Parure (w/Additional Pair of Earrings) - Moon glow Chocolate & Glass Pink AB Beads 222294691

This is a beautifully bold Hobé set featuring a choker necklace, wrap bracelet, one pair of dangle matching earrings and another BONUS pair of round matching earrings. The necklace measures approximately 12" with a 4" moonglow beaded extender. The large chocolate brown beads have a shimmering moonglow effect and I believe them to be glass. There are rondelles in metallic gold and yellow aurora borealis glass dimpled beads. Black/bronze filigree findings surround the large chocolate stones giving them an elegant finish. Both pairs of earrings have all of the same beads except the moonglow brown beads are much smaller. The round pair measure one square inch and are marked Hobé. The dangle earrings measure roughly 1-1/2" and are also marked Hobé. The wrap bracelet too has all of the same moonglow and AB dimpled glass beads and will fit most wrists. This parure is in very excellent vintage condition and highly collectible! About Hobé From Collectors' Weekly: "Hobé Cie was founded in 1887 by goldsmith Jacques Hobé, but when costume-jewelry collectors think of Hobé, they picture the tasselled and beaded necklaces made by Jacques' son, William, who established an American offshoot of the company in 1927. That put Hobé at the beginning of the American costume-jewelry boom between the two world wars. In fact, some scholars believe that Hobé actually had a hand in the phrase "costume jewelry" itself. After the younger Hobé landed in New York, but before he started his company, one of the his first assignments was to make costumes and jewelry for the "Ziegfeld Follies." According to some historians, Florenz Ziegfeld described the jewelry that accompanied Hobé's costumes as costume jewelry. Hobé's showbiz origins served the company well.
