Shadow Trapunto quilting/embroidery technique. 1) Pencil-on a design onto thin cotton fabric. 2) Baste a second piece of fabric to create 2-layers. 3) Embroider the design with a running stitch. 4) Using yarn for colors, thread it between the two layers. Stuff the ends in with a toothpick.
