This bird is called a Red-browed Pardalote. Native to Australia, the Red-browed Pardalote is unique in that this bird makes its nests underground at the end of a tunnel. This bird is definitely different with that headdress.
https://flic.kr/p/8ChYM6 | Black-throated Green Warbler | I made it out to Montrose on Saturday morning, despite the threat of rain. There were a good number of birds present, but strangely they were not along the hedge. The black-throated green warblers were in good number and with the ISO cranked up in the 500-1000 range I was able to get a few captures in spite of the low light levels.
This is one variety of the Black-and-Yellow Broadbill. They range in color from black and yellow to black with some yellow and some pink and then some are just black and pink, like this beauty! They do all have the bright blue bill, however.
