A fraction snowman is a fun and not intimidating way to help teach fractions, which is a hard concept for students.

This would be a fun activity to do in centers. Each triangle would have one or two multiplication questions on a side or one to two answers. They would have to connect the pieces to practice their multiplication facts.

Use in third grade.  Give students 12 pieces of paper and ask them to cut in half, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths up to twelfths.  Easy to determine 1/2-14s.  What about fifths, etc.
