Ernesto Guevara was born into an affluent Argentinian family. He loved his mother with all of his heart and was never very close with his father. Once his parents discovered he suffered from Asthma it became necessary to move to a dryer climate. His father saw his son’s condition as a restrictive thorn in the family’s side. As a teenager, he would have Asthma attacks that would leave him bed ridden for days. During this time he developed the life long habit of reading.
