AN IZNIK BLUE AND WHITE POTTERY DISH  OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1600  With sloping rim on short foot, the white interior painted in two shades of cobalt-blue with a swirling design of plants issuing saz leaves and three stylized pomegranates, the cavetto with a series of lobed motifs, the rim with alternating saz leaves and flowerheads on blue ground, the exterior with alternating floral spray and flowerheads,   13¼in. (34.2cm.) diam.
