Composition Nuri Abac was a 20th-century Turkish artist known for his use of traditional Persian painting techniques. Throughout his oeuvre, Abac depicted Anatolian mythology, street vendors, taverns, and other everyday scenes in the stylized graphic style endemic to historic Persian art. Born in 1926 in Istanbul, Turkey, he went on to study painting at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts.
