Great War trench terrain from the German lines
Scratch-built 28mm Great War trench terrain prepared for the "Two Fat Lardies" participation game at Salute 2009, Partizan 2009 and Crisis 2009 using the very spiffing "Through Mud & Blood" rules for large skirmishes by Richard Clarke. Each terrain board is 600mm x 600mm. This is the view from the German/ Defender side of the table. While the terrain is generic, the trenches were modelled on the type of prepared position constructed as part of the Siegfried Stellung (aka Hindemberg Line).
Trench warfare was a technique used on the western front in which troops are staying in areas similar to this and the enemy is practically next to them. It was very dangerous because there was death upon their shoulder every second they stayed there and it was very unsanitary and caused many people to start going crazy.
Builing a Trench warfare Table NEED ADVICE
Hey guys and gals I have finally got the time to build a trench board and the forge-world Trench system is still not available. So I was wondering if anyone has seen something similar for sale any ware.
