At the beginning of every month, everyone starts off in the homework club. If they turn all their homework in on time, then they get to stay in the club! If they don't then they are out of the club. Students who turn all their homework in for the entire month get to come to our monthly homework club lunch.

Every time a student adds a descriptive word to his or her writing, he or she can write that word using one of the colored pens. Then, continue with pencil. Descriptive adjectives and verbs are colorful and stand out while students are writing. This is good for creativity during the writing process. I haven't updated in a while because school (and life) have been SO. CRAZY. Being a first year teacher is no joke. I can't believe how fast this year is going- before I know it, it will be Christmas, then 2nd semester, then the end of the year! Whew!
