Talia: "At Star Noodle, I definitely recommend the Filipino Bacon and Eggs. It's right up there. First of all, sizzling pork belly—who doesn’t love that!? Add an egg that cooks right at your table and you have an incredible dish. Also our Toro (Ahi Belly) has such good flavors that, when combined with Garlic Noodles, it’s a match made in heaven." #StarScoops #StarNoodle

Marcelo: "If Neymar came to Star Noodle, he’s going for the Ahi Avo for sure. Fresh ahi, lemon-pressed olive oil, sambal and avocado. It’s amazing and very unique. I love it. I’d also tell him to have the Lahaina Fried Soup. First of all, it’s not soup it’s fried noodles. It’s such a local dish and if Neymar is coming all the way from Brazil, he’s going to love it—the ground pork, the tapioca flour, the chewiness of the noodles, everything." #StarScoops

This is sous chef Cesar. As one of the longest-serving members of our back of house team, a maker of flavorful food and always found with a smile on his face, this restaurant wouldn't be the same without him: "If I was bringing someone here for the first time I would tell them that they have to order the Brussels Sprouts. They have amazing flavor, they are fresh and the combination of Kim Chee and smoked bacon makes the flavor pop." #starscoops

If you’ve ever eaten our house-made noodles, chances are they were lovingly made by Lori. "We definitely had some early challenges with this machine, even working out how to turn it on. It’s 80 years old, all the writing is in Japanese, it didn’t come with instructions. "Through a lot of trial and error (a LOT of trial and error!), we figured it all out and now—after almost seven years—it’s crazy to think how many noodles we’ve made!"

"The Hot n’Sour Soup is one of my favorites. I love pho, I love ramen and this is both, two of my favorite things combined. What sets this restaurant apart from others for me is the upbeat pace and the camaraderie of the employees, both front and back of house and the passion that we all have for food." Noreen, Server since 2012.

Best thing on the menu? Easy, it's the Ahi Avo—our take on poke. On Maui you get to try a bunch of different ahi but for me, the quality is just not the same. It is SO fresh and the taste is incredible—we don't try to mask the ahi’s natural flavor like a lot of other places do. We just enhance it, with very few additions other than a light, aged soy sauce, lemon-pressed olive oil, Sambal and of course the buttery avocado. It’s such a clean, well thought-out dish." Andrew, Server & Bartender.

"If I had to pick out my favorite things on the menu, the first would be the Vietnamese Crepe. The flavors are just so banging, so impactful and the Nuoc Cham sauce—seriously it's good on anything. I also have to choose the Ahi Avo. It’s so fresh, so good on a hot summer’s day. I love everything about it. Also, even after all these years, I still have to have the Pad Thai at least once a week. What else makes this place special? That’s an easy question to answer. It’s the staff." Our GM…

"If I could only recommend one thing to someone who's coming here for the first time, it'd have to be the Filipino Bacon & Eggs. Why? Because I'm Filipino! But really, it reminds me of home cooking, of what grandma used to make. Also, the Hapa Ramen. I love the sweetness of the bamboo shoots, the saltiness of the pork, the fresh noodles. It's all I eat now when I come in with my son." Sous Chef, Kaluna.
