What makes this mola "high quality"? Look at the very fine detail, the many rows of stripes, and the fine work in the "X" filler shapes in background, which are each done in two colors. This artist was not in a hurry, nor cranking out rough work for tourists who didn't appreciate detail. The design is not mirrored, but it is well-balanced and harmonious. The pale and white highlights help you see the lines of the figures.
