Juana Galán was known for  beating Napoleon’s troops out of her village during the Battle of Valdepeñas in June, 1808. There weren’t enough men to defend the village from invading French. Juana, 21, immediately rallied all of the women in the village. When the French troops marched in, the women dumped boiling oil on top of them. Juana stood in the street with a large club and beat seven shades out of any French soldier that crossed her path. The French never returned.

In Juana Galan organized the women of her town to fight off the approaching Napoleonic army by dumping boiling water and oil on their heads and beating them off with sticks. The French retreated from the town and La Mancha as a whole.

America’s biggest banks have been nurturing systematic fraud for years to cheat unwary customers. Similar big-bank rackets are running in oil, wheat, cotton, and coffee, bringing billions in profits to investment banks like Goldman, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley.

Organized crime was very powerfull during the time of prohibition . They brought alcohol from Canada to the state of Illinois . The head of this was the gangster Al Capone , consider one of the most powerful mobsters of all time .
