This tour has 19 stops on it and the information on it provides greater details of the Castle than is found on our printed floor maps. T he audio tour is pre-loaded on mp3 players or can be delivered to your smart phone via WiFi.

Downtown walking tour to Craigdarroch Castle. Start at Douglas and Fort Street, head East straight up Fort Street to Craigdarroch. The lower section of Fort is known as Antique Row. Right up from Douglas St you will find The Dutch Bakery. Russell’s Books. 2 distinct districts on Fort Street. Small shopss and curiosities. Heritage houses. At Joan Crescent and Craigdarroch Road you can take either road to the Castle. You get great views of the castle from either direction

OPEN DAILY: 10am – 4:30pm, with extended hours from June 15th to September 6th (9am – 7pm). Robert Dunsmuir, a Scottish immigrant who made his fortune from Vancouver Island coal. This legendary Victorian mansion, built between 1887 and 1890 on a hill overlooking the City of Victoria.
