ARCHAEOLOGY - ESKİŞEHİR <> Küllüoba

Küllüoba This large mound (250 x 150 m and 10 m high) lies 75 km to the southeast of Demircihöyük, 200 m from the Seyitgazi-Yenikent road. The main deposits date to the Chalcolithic and Early Bronze periods, with some later activity. The site is being excavated by Turan Efe of İstanbul University. In EB I the site had an encircling mud brick wall with ramparts and houses built up against the inside of it.
