The real-life Olivia Pope - Judy Smith, author, TV producer, & crisis manager. She is known as the founder, president, & CEO of the crisis management firm, Smith & Company. Her work is the inspiration for the ABC series Scandal, for which she serves as co-executive producer & technical advisor. She previously worked as Special Asst. & Deputy Press Secretary to George H. W. Bush and VP of Communications for NBC. She is a graduate of Boston University and American University's law school.
