Designer Maud Vilaret uses African fabrics to create her designs. These fabrics are combined often combined with glass seedbeads, shells and buttons, elements commonly found in traditional jewellery stemming from the African continent.

ETHNIC TREE: Ethnic necklace whose base is made of a vintage piece of applique, coming from a woman's belt from the Hmong tribe in the Hoa Binh province (Vietnam). The central triangular piece is an Afghani amulet, where people traditionally hid scriptures for protection. The sterling silver earring (925k) is Hmong and also comes from Vietnam.
